Jeana and I began our Spanish Adventure in the magical city of Barcelona...We arrived rather late due to delayed flights, but were just in time for a late Spanish style tapa dinner. We drank yummy house wine, empanada, olives, and jamon with potatoes in a spicy sauce. Then we retired to our hostel off Las Ramblas.

We started our first day pretty early, seeing the Colombus monument, Placa Reial, and stopped into an herbal shop to have our first caffe con leche!

We got lost in the maze-like Boqueria Mercato, full of butchers, fruit vendors, tapas bars...it was intense!

We meandered down Las Ramblas, seeing birds and critters for sale

We saw our first Gaudi house, and the stumbled upon a cool (and free!) Rodchenko show inside his Perdrera house!
